Our Journey to Natural Skincare

From a small kitchen experiment to a thriving community of natural soap enthusiasts.

How It All Began

Review MyInfo started with a simple realization: the best skincare ingredients were growing, grazing, and flowing all around us in Ireland's rich natural environment.

The First Batch

Our founder's first attempt at soap making was driven by frustration with commercial products that left skin feeling dry and irritated. After researching traditional soap making methods, she discovered that cold-process soap retained glycerin and preserved the beneficial properties of natural ingredients.

That first batch, made with goat milk from a neighbor's farm, produced bars that were gentler and more moisturizing than anything available in stores. Friends and family who tried them immediately noticed the difference, and word spread quickly through the local community.

Discovering Irish Ingredients

As we refined our formulations, we became fascinated with ingredients unique to Ireland. Atlantic seaweed, rich in minerals from clean ocean waters, offered exceptional skin benefits. Local farmers were happy to provide fresh goat milk. And Ireland's ancient peatlands yielded bog extracts with properties used traditionally for generations.

Each ingredient required experimentation to find the right processing methods and proportions. We learned that seaweed needed careful drying to preserve its mineral content, that goat milk created the creamiest lather when added at specific temperatures, and that bog extracts brought unique soothing qualities to the final product.

What Guides Our Work

Quality First

Every batch receives the same careful attention, whether it's our first or our thousandth. We never compromise on ingredient quality or manufacturing standards to increase production speed.

Local Partnerships

We build lasting relationships with Irish farmers and suppliers. These partnerships ensure ingredient freshness while supporting the local economy and reducing transportation impacts.

Safety & Compliance

Meeting Irish cosmetics regulations isn't just a legal requirement—it's our commitment to customer wellbeing. Every product undergoes proper safety assessment before reaching your hands.

Knowledge Sharing

We believe soap making skills should be accessible to everyone. Our workshops welcome beginners and provide the foundation for others to start their own natural skincare journey.

Growing Beyond the Kitchen

Demand grew beyond what a home kitchen could handle. We moved into a dedicated workshop space in Wexford, designed specifically for small-batch soap production. The new space allowed us to maintain our handcrafted approach while serving more customers across Ireland.

We began selling at local farmers markets, where direct conversations with customers helped us understand what people truly wanted from their soap. These interactions shaped our product line and taught us which ingredients resonated most with Irish customers seeking natural alternatives.

Sharing the Craft

People often asked if we could teach them to make soap. This led to our first workshop, where a small group learned the entire cold-process method in an afternoon. Seeing others experience the satisfaction of creating their own natural soap was incredibly rewarding.

Our workshops have since become a core part of what we do. They allow people to understand exactly what goes into quality soap making, from ingredient selection to proper curing. Many participants go on to make soap regularly for their families, and some have even started their own small businesses.

Looking Forward

We continue to explore new formulations and ingredient combinations while staying true to our core principle: the best skincare comes from nature, processed minimally and crafted carefully. Our online shop now serves customers throughout Ireland, but we'll always maintain the small-batch approach that ensures quality in every bar.

The journey from that first experimental batch to where we are today has been guided by customer feedback, ingredient discoveries, and an ongoing commitment to natural skincare that actually works. We're excited to continue serving the Irish community with products that honor both traditional wisdom and modern safety standards.
